So I never thought I would make a weather category for my blog, but after Katrina a couple of weeks ago and Rita now I thought I might need one. So it’s rather crazy, I don’t think I can ever remember a hurricane season where we got up to ‘R’ in the naming list. Right now I’m sitting here with the power flickering around me, some tornado warnings going on, and just a big thunderstorm around us. I got a little scared when I was driving home and a stop sign blew over next to me. Those things can get pretty loud when they hit concrete.

Aside from that it shouldn’t be too bad here. The storm is hitting well west of us and we are just getting the outskirts of it. For those that have wandered to my blog from points unknown I am located in Baton Rouge. Anyways, I think I might go read through the Eye of the World again by Robert Jordan since he has a new book coming out in a couple of weeks and I’d like to re-read the series before that happens.
