So I’ve finally decided where to make my blog home, and it was neither place that I was using before. Previously I was using theSpoke and MSN Spaces and well I was not completely happy with either. On theSpoke I enjoyed the community but definitely was not happy with the user interface or how long it took the site to load. For msn spaces I think it was the lack of a real community that I didn’t like. It’s user interface, however, was outstanding. Then I found WordPress and have been happy with it ever since.

So what about wordpress do I like so much? Well basically the fact that I can customize everything about it. That I can host and maintain my blog completely on my own site. I can alter the source code and make little fixes as I need to, or write plugins so that this blogging engine actually does everything I need it to. More to come on this later since I generally do post alot of coding how-to’s I will probably take the time to at least document what I’ve done with this website as I make the move from asp.net back to php!
