I remember that call. It was funny then and it is funny to remember today. I'm also having an interesting time with Share your OPML by the way. It's a cool application.

Well, before I switched phones I was paying around $55 a month for almost nothing, so switching to this one, with the unlimited media package put me around $60 a month. This being my only phone (no home line) it seems justifyable, and of course I wanted with that nationwide, no-roaming, text messaging, and rollover minutes.

ooooh, shiney reflective bottom! I wouldn't mind one of these types of phones myself, if unlimited data plans didn't cost $50 more each month. This whole "per kilobyte" thing doesn't really add up to useful networked apps, which in turn adds up to not selling more of these types of phones and plans.

I'm very proud of my latest phone that simply makes phone calls very well. Rarely drops them. (Even when I drop it) It might have a calendar or something too.

They have another competition going on to develop an application for Vista worth $50,000. I just don't think I've used Vista enough, nor the newer tools to make something that could stand a chance.

What a tease! Perhaps try throwing together a Vista clone by December. I kidd... Cool looking contest though. And $10,000 would surely be nothing to sneeze at.

Come on, just one hint?

I realise now my last comment was perhaps a tad ambiguous ... so just to clarify: that was the sound of someone (me) so horrified as to lapse into unconciousness and fall to the ground.

Yeah heard about this TryParse thing (I'm still on 1.1) but it's not a solution to all your problems; you'll still need a wrapper class that probably uses that (once you upgrade to 2.0) at the core, but can also provide additional functionality - like specific error feedback ("Hi idiot, there are only 28 days in February this year - not 67. Try again!") if you want to go that far.

I'd help, but I'm busy working on a class library to provide modular AHAH (AJAX subset) client-server integration with auto-degradation, including auto remote content syndication as required ... it's pretty cool (if I finish it)

"Should be a good weekend of programming and gaming."

In my book, that equates to about 5% programming (or at least staring at a blank VS project) and 95% Battlefield 2.

Can't believe I'm putting an nVidia 6800 in my new development server I'm purchasing (because my laptop ain't up to it anymore) so I can use it for gaming ... that's sad.
